Report on ongoing Ericht bank work 2024

 Report for 24th March 2024

On Sunday 24th March 2024, a total of 11 volunteers attended the final River Ericht litter pick of the season which focused on the    Rattray bank between the Lade Pool and Beaton's Dyke.

We collected a total of 60 bags of litter, numerous shopping trollies, scrap metal, road signs, traffic cones, bikes, a scooter and three tents.

Over the three Sundays( 3rd Feb,17th March, and 24th March), apart from the many larger items removed, a total of over 200 bags of litter have been collected from the river and its banks - an absolutely fantastic effort by all concerned.

A massive thanks to all those who took part.!

 Report for 3rd March 2024

A total of 12 volunteers worked very hard on the river Ericht over the past weekend:-
 • branches / foliage trimmed on the Blairgowrie (South) bank of the Ericht from Kitty Swanson's Bridge to the neck of Pipe Pool (opposite the West Grange car park).
 • litter picked from the downstream limits of our fishing (Kitty Swanson's / West Grange car park respectively) to the Lade pool i.e. the entire lower beat, including the footpaths on both sides.
We collected a total of 36 bags of litter, a shopping trolley and a table!
A massive thanks to all those who gave up their Sunday to help the river and the Association.

Our next litter picks will be on Sunday 17th and Sunday 24th March 2024 - further details to be supplied nearer the time.
More volunteers would, of course, make the work much easier on everyone. You may be surprised how much you actually enjoy it  and how much fishing  advice is shared along the way!
If you can lend a hand, please e-mail your details to Sean Dornan via enquiries@brdaa.co.uk as soon as possible.
  Thank you very much
